HLPF 2019: Chika Mercedes Ibeh’s Intervention on LDCs and LLDCs

Sustainable development requires a financial framework that curbs illicit financial flows and progressive taxation to reduce concentrations of wealth and economic power. It requires corporations to pay taxes, refrain from predatory practices, and ensure labour rights, decent work and working conditions. It requires a multipronged strategy to strengthen women’s organizations and movements.

Chika Mercedes Ibeh (Education as Vaccine, Nigeria) delivered her intervention on behalf of the Women’s Major Group, at the session on “LDCs and LLDCs”, during the HLPF 2019, held in New York, at the UNHQ, on 10th July, 2019.
